Making our roads safe over Christmas
24 November 2009
Transport Minister Gerry McCarthy today launched a $143 000 television and print campaign urging Territorians not to make the mistake of drinking and driving this holiday season.
The campaign was created by Creative Territory and Sprout and challenges Territorians to understand that drink driving is a choice, not bad luck or an accident.
The series of three TV advertisements and supporting newspaper ads encourage Territorians to recognise that the moment they make the decision to drink drive is not when they get behind the wheel but well before that.
The campaign is part of a combined approach in which the Department of Planning and Infrastructure has partnered with Territory police and TIO to make the roads safer for all Territorians this Christmas.
