Breaking Campaign: Darwin Buffs feature in road safety TVC

Darwin NTAFL team the Buffaloes feature in a new road safety campaign to encourage locals to wear their seatbelts.

 

The new TVCs, supported by print, are the final instalment of a road safety campaign run by local insurer TIO.

 

The campaign was developed by Darwin-based Creative Territory and Sprout.

 

Creative Territory Managing Director Tracy Jones said the campaign shows the consequences of bad road behaviour, such as speeding, drink driving and not wearing seatbelts.

 

“The final ad in the series takes a look at the aftermath of a road accident in which a young footballer who wasn’t wearing his seatbelt is killed,” she said.

 

“While the ad is aimed at all audiences, we also wanted to target the Indigenous audience in a fresh way.”

 

Creative Territory and Sprout teamed up to provide the strategy and creative for the WHY road safety campaign. Production was undertaken by Cutting Edge and Resident Creative, the photography and design arm of Resident Magazine.
